About me

Hi, welcome. Thanks for dropping by! The photo above is taken from the Sai Kung harbor - a small fishing village in Hong Kong - where I lived during the last year of my undergraduate degree. I was lucky enough to walk by the view above every day when walking from my apartment to the bus.

My name is Martin Lynge Rasmussen, and I am a first-year master's degree student at Johns Hopkins SAIS, where I study international economics and China studies. My first year is spent in Washington, DC, and my second year will be spent in Nanjing, China, where all courses will be taught in Mandarin Chinese. I was born and raised in Denmark, and have previously lived in Hong Kong (three years), Beijing (one year), India (two years) and USA (one year in Indiana and currently).

I am very interested how politics interact with finance and economics in emerging markets in general and China in particular. Please feel free to contact me at martinlyngerasmussen@gmail.com / +1 (202) 945-8411 / Wechat: martinlyngerasmussen / Linkedin: link.
